The Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition is open for entries on 22nd October 2018! Judges are looking for outstanding images that raise awareness of nature’s beauty and fragility, while also championing the highest ethical standards in wildlife photography. From intimate animal portraits to atmospheric landscapes, groundbreaking photojournalism to innovative technique. Get ready to join the legacy! Winners will be displayed at the iconic Natural History Museum and the exhibition tours both nationally and internationally.

Young Competition: 10 years and under, 11-14 years, and 15-17 years.

Entry requirements:

The adult competition is for photographers aged 18 and over. The young competition is for photographers aged 17 and under. Entrants are required to report on the natural world in a way that is both creative and honest. Images entered must not attempt to deceive the viewer or misrepresent the reality of nature.

Entry fee:

Young Competition: Free
Adult Competition: One off entry fee of £30

Prize details:

Wildlife Photographer of the Year winner receives £10,000, trophy, and certificate and a trip to London for the awards ceremony.

Category winners receive between £1,250 to £2,000 prize money.

Young Photographer of the Year winner receives £1,000, a trophy and a certificate.
