Enter the world's largest and one of the most respected photography awards for free today! Sony World Photography Awards, one of the leading photographic awards, are looking for the best photography from 2018. The awards are dedicated to supporting and cultivating photographic culture. The annual awards gala and ceremony takes place in London at Somerset House.

Category details:

The Sony World Photography Awards has four competitions:

Professional: 10 categories, judged on a body of work.
Open: 10 categories, judged on a single image, open to all
Youth: for photographers aged 12-19, a single image responding to one brief.
Student Focus: for those studying photography

The awards offer categories across all genres of photojournalism, fine art and commercial photography. The categories include: current affairs; creative; discovery; nature & wildlife; portraiture; contemporary issues; sport; landscape; still life; architecture, and more.

Entry requirements:

The Sony World Photography Awards are open to all photographers of all ages and skill levels. If you wish to enter the Professional Competition you will not be able to enter the Open Competition and vice versa. If you wish to enter the Youth Award, you will not be able to enter the Professional or Open Competitions.
