Nature Photographer of the Year
Competition summary:
Nature Photographer Of The Year 2018 is the product of the Nature Talks Photo Festival. The contest is open for nature photographers worldwide, both professional and non-professional and features more than €25,000 in prizes.
Category details:
The categories in this contest are: Birds, Mammals, Other animals, Plants and Fungi, Landscapes, Underwater, Nature Art, Man and Nature, Black & White, Youth (10-17 yrs), Portfolio.
Entry requirements:
The contest is open to nature photographers from around the world of any experience level, aged 10 or over.
Entry fee:
In total, 20 images may be submitted with no maximum per category. Young photographers may send in 5 images maximum. For the Fred Hazelhoff Award 8-12 photos may be entered.
The youth category is free to enter. The fee for entering the Fred Hazelhoff portfolio category is €15, and the fee for a standard entry of 20 images is €20.
Prize details:
In each category the jury will determine a winner, a runner-up and 3 highly commended. The winners of a category will receive €500 in cash. The runner-ups will win prizes worth €250 (in products). The winner of the youth category will receive a prize worth €250 (in products). The runner-up in this category will receive a prize worth €125 (in products).
In addition, from the 9 category winners the jury will choose one overall winner who will win the title of Nature Photographer of the Year 2018. In addition to the category prize, the overall winner will receive a prize of €2,500 in cash.
All awarded images will be shown in the exhibition at the Nature Talks Photo Festival.
The winner of the Fred Hazelhoff portfolio category receives a sum of €1,000 in cash.
