Competition summary:

International Garden Photographer of the Year is the world’s premier competition and exhibition specialising in garden, plant, flower and botanical photography. It is run in association with the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, United Kingdom. The main exhibition is held annually at Kew, with a rolling programme of touring exhibitions in the UK and all over the world.

This year's categories include:

Abstract Views, Beautiful Blenheim, Beautiful Gardens, Black and White, Breathing Spaces, Greening the City, Planet and Plants, The Beauty of Plants, Trees Woods & Forests, Wildflower Landscapes, Wildlife in the Garden, Youth Category.

Entry requirements:

The competition is open to everyone, amateurs and professionals alike. Entries are welcome from any country in the world. There are no restrictions on the type of camera you use, or the techniques you use to produce your final image.

Entry fee:

There is a fee for entering the competition. This fee is £12 for 4 single images, or £25 for a portfolio.

Entries into Young Garden Photographer of the Year are for entrants aged under 17 and is offered at £5 for 4 entry tokens.

Prize details:

The overall winner will receive £7,500 and the best porfolio entry will receive £2,000. Category winners will receive £250 and the youth winner will receive a digital camera.
