FOCUS Photo LA

Competition summary:

For 27 years Photo L.A. has celebrated and brought together the photography and arts community. Photo L.A. has created a photo competition, FOCUS Photo L.A., to help provide emerging and mid career artists/photographers opportunities to broaden their career opportunities and promote their work. Through partnerships with world-renowned photography galleries, art fairs, museums, and publications, winners of past competitions have been picked up by international galleries, magazines, and have expanded their career opportunities.

For this summer's contest, the work of the top 20 finalists will be printed by A & I Fine Art + Photography and then framed by A/C Gallery and exhibited in Arles during Les Rencontres de la Photographie. The Grand Prize Winner will win a round trip ticket to Arles and a three night stay. The exhibition will run July 2-8, 2018.

The finalists of each FOCUS Photo L.A. [competition] are determined by a rotating panel of world-renowned art and photography experts. Following their decisions for the Top 20 Finalists for each competition, the judges will move forward to determine who will be the Grand, Second, and Third Place Winners.
