Event Photography Awards 2019
Competition summary:
Now in year six, the Event Photography Awards is an annual ‘not for profit’ competition that celebrates the work of the (often unsung) photographers that is fundamental to promoting and sustaining the events industry.
Judged by a plethora of event industry luminaries and senior journalists, the EPAs receive wide and favourable press coverage and have over 8,000 social media followers. Winners and runners up are displayed at various events during the year including the industry leading International Confex exhibition.
The EPAs support two charities, Meeting Needs (event industry) and PhotoVoice (photography).
Winners are announced at a fabulous awards event which last year was held at The British Museum and this year is due to be held at the Museum of London in early May.
There is a fee of £10 for five photos which can be allotted to one of twelve core categories.
There is also an award for the best amateur and Peoples Choice award, voted for by guests at the Awards Night, and an overall winner who gets £1,000 and lots of kudos...
2018 over winner Andrew Whitton said: “Winning the award has definitely helped the business... We’ve been logging away our best work throughout the year and will definitely be entering again.”
