Welcome to the Urban Photographer of the Year competition, now open for entries. Established in 2008 the competition is the largest of its kind, celebrating the richness and diversity of city life around the world by challenging both amateur and professional photographers alike to capture the essence of the urban environment.

This year's CBRE Urban Photographer of the Year competition challenges you to capture these connections between people, places and perspectives.

UPOTY has the following winning categories:
Overall winner
Three regional winners (Americas, EMEA, Asia Pacific)
One winner per 24 hour category (24 winners in total)
One mobile winner
Two youth category winners (13–15 / 16–18)

Entry requirements:

Open only to individuals 13 years of age or older as of date of entry. The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers, however, the entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright and all other rights in all images.

Prize details:

The grand prize winner will receive a luxury safari for two. Regional winners will receive a photography drone.
Youth and mobile winners will receive a GoPro prize.
