Your photographs. Your rights.
fair rights
Read the terms carefully — the licence taken is broader than we'd like.
Copyright remains with the photographer, but every entry grants broad, perpetual, non-exclusive, unpaid use for competition promotion and BirdLife advocacy, conservation, communications and research. Official sponsors may use entries for marketing. Organisers can crop or resize images. Credit is normally provided but may be withheld during blind judging. Reviewed against the 2026 rules.
