About Photo Competitions

At Photo Competitions you can discover the latest amateur and professional photo contests, competitions and awards. Not only can you find out about major international photo contests, but Photo Competitions also lists national-level contests and competitions that are focused on specific genres.

Entering photo contests can be a great way to promote yourself and get your work seen by a larger audience. However, with the large number of contests available these days it can be hard to find out about new ones and remember all of the opening and closing dates.

So, in 2018 we relaunched Photo Competitions to make it easier to search for and keep track of all the contests that are relevant to you.

On the Competition Search page, you can see all of the competitions that match your detailed search criteria, and you can also sign up for our newsletter to receive a bespoke personalised monthly round-up of the contests that have recently opened and the ones that are closing soon.

If you create an account, you can also make use of our Bookmarking tool, which allows you to subscribe to individual contest notifications. You will then receive an email notification whenever that competition opens for entry, when the deadline is approaching, and also when the contest results get announced.

Furthermore, you can now sync the deadlines of your Bookmarked contests directly into your favourite calendar app using your personal calendar feed. Compatible applications include the iOS Calendar App, the Mac Calendar App, Google Calendars, Mozilla Lightning and Microsoft Outlook.

Lastly, we’re committed to making Photo Competitions the best database of photography contests on the internet. If you know of any competitions that aren’t currently listed on our site, then please let us know about them! If you have any questions for us, then please do get in touch.
