2015 Astronomy Photographer of the Year

The Astronomy Photographer of the Year competition is an annual celebration of the most beautiful and spectacular visions of the cosmos by astrophotographers worldwide. The winning images are showcased in an exhibition at the Royal Observatory Greenwich.

Categories

Adult Competitions: Aurorae; Skyscapes; People and Space; Our Sun; Our Moon; Planets, Comets and Asteroids; Stars and Nebulae; and Galaxies.
Young Competition (aged 15 or under): Any astronomical subject.

Prizes

The grand prize for Astronomy Photographer of the Year is £2,500.
Category prizes up to £1,000 are available
Young winner receives up to £500

Entry Requirements

To enter the adult competition entrants must be over the age of 16 on the Closing Date of the competition. Entrants may submit up to five photos in total to the Insight Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2015.
To enter the young competition entrants must be aged 15 years or under.
