All 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners from both the professional and non-professional categories will receive a Px3 certificate, personalized press release, and a Px3 winner&#8217;s logo for professional purposes.</p>

Px3 judges award several Certificates of Honorable Mention to both professional and non-professional entries to acknowledge talent as they deem fit.</p>
<p>Public Choice Awards<br />
39,481 votes were tallied in the first annual Prix de la Photographie Paris. The names of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Subcategory Public Choice Winners are listed in the Px3 Annual Book.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<table class="ec3_schedule"><tr><td colspan="3">Deadline: May 5th, 2011</td></tr></table><p>The Nature&#8217;s Best Photography concept began with simple yet dynamic goals: to celebrate the beauty and diversity of nature through the art of photography, and to use this far-reaching medium as a creative tool for encouraging greater public interest in outdoor enjoyment and conservation stewardship.</p>
<p>The annual Windland Smith Rice International Awards program evolved from this ambitious mission to become one of the most highly-respected and visually compelling nature photography competitions in the world. More than 25,000 entries are received and judged each year in the International Awards.</p>
<p>Finalists will be published in Nature&#8217;s Best Photography magazine. A selection of winners of each category and Highly Honored images will be on display in an exhibition at the Smithsonian.</p>
<p><strong>Entry Fee: $25</strong></p>

<p>Prizes vary from contest to contest, but if your image is selected it will be published in their high-quality print magazine (sold at the Smithsonian) and you will receive exposure if you are selected to be featured in the Smithsonian&#8217;s website, on Pixcetera, MSNBC, New York Daily News, or Discovery photo galleries, as well as Audubon, Divers Alert Network, and others. <p>Submit your work for the chance to become the next Professional Photographer of the Year and win the coveted prize, L’iris d’Or, along with prize money of $25,000.</p>
<p>The professional is a serious photographer with a true passion for the job – the art of taking pictures, documenting a story, conceptualising an idea, capturing emotions and evoking a response from those who view the finished product.</p>
<p>Submissions must be based on a body of work and contain a minimum of 3 images and a maximum of 10 images.</p>
<p>Within the Professional competition, three distinct sectors within photography are discovered and awarded.  The Commercial, Fine Art and Photojournalism &#038; Documentary genres are all equally recognised and sought after.</p>
<p>Image entered in to any of the 15 professional categories must have been completed or first published in 2010.</p>

<p>The Open competition seeks the true amateur &#8211; the lover of photography &#8211; to enter a single image, capturing that perfect moment.  </p>
<p>All ages and levels of expertise are welcomed in this competition where image is everything and imagination is the only necessary ingredient.</p>
<p>Whether your passion is animals, places, people, sport, or travel, you could be the next to win $5,000 and a trip to the next Sony World Photography Awards ceremony and World Photography Festival in London!</p>
