Burrard-Lucas Photography have launched a “Pet Portraits” photo contest. The deadline is 22nd May 2010.

There are some fantastic prizes on offer including the chance to win a Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR camera.

Pet lovers are invited to enter their perfect pooch or fantastic feline into a photo competition.

Pet charity PDSA is looking for a photo of a pet with its owner that captures the relationship between people and pets.
 
Three winners will receive a Canon digital camera and selected entries will feature in a gallery on the PDSA’s website during February and March.

Mary Bawn, spokeswoman for the PDSA, which has an animal hospital in Braunstone, Leicester, said: “We are looking for photographs to make our heart melt and are inviting pet owners to send in their ‘purrrfect’ snaps. Pictures must include pet and owner.”

The closing date is 15 March.
