Put sport’s hidden heroes in the frame and win £250 worth of photography equipment
Turn your lens towards the action behind the sporting action!
If you’re a photographer and think you know a good sports volunteer photo when you see one then enter our competition.
You could win £250 worth of the latest photography equipment.
The best entrant as judged by our panel will receive £250 worth of Jessops vouchers redeemable against goods of their choice in any store.
10 runners up will each get one of ten £15 Jessops vouchers.
But we’re not after the usual sports action shots.
runningsports wants to recognise and capture the action that goes on behind the scenes that makes sport happen.
So we want great pictures of hidden heroes of sport, the volunteers.
Those treasurers and club secretaries, the fixture-planners and fund raisers, and all those who give up their time for their sport.
For example it might be someone laying out the cones, pinning notices on a board or doing the accounts.
Or it could be someone opening up the clubhouse, slicing the oranges, or putting together the fixture schedules.
Whatever subject you choose, you’ll have the chance to win £250 worth of photography equipment, and to see your shots used in runningsports materials and the sports press throughout the country.

Please email your images as JPEG files, maximum size 3MB, with one photo per email. We will notify the winner by email (to address from which the picture was sent) by 27th July.
