Our cultural influences come in many different forms based on where we live, our upbringing and the paths we choose to take.
What are your cultural influences? Are they traditional or unconventional? What aspects of culture have made an impact on your life?
The theme “Capture your culture” encourages you to document the culture in your life in a single image.
Enter The Lumix Award 2007, a unique competition from Panasonic aimed at promoting creativity in digital photography.
For The Lumix Award 2007 we want you to seek out the unusual in a common photographic subject. We want to see something new.
The competition is open for six months from the 1st June 2007 to 30th November 2007 and will be judged by a panel of respected professional photographers in December 2007.
Please note: all photographs entered must be taken with a digital camera.
GRAND PRIZE
WIN A TRIP TO LIVERPOOL
THE EUROPEAN CITY OF CULTURE 2008
The overall winner of the Lumix Award competition - the single best photograph we receive - will win a week long trip for two to Liverpool in 2008 to experience the city and the events of the culture programme. The winner and two runners-ups will receive a Lumix L1 digital camera .
Airfares and accommodation will be arranged and paid for by Panasonic. Specific details of the trip will be sent to the winner in January 2008.
MONTHLY PRIZES
LUMIX FZ50 DIGITAL CAMERAS
Every month for the duration of the competition one winner will be chosen from a shortlist by a member of the judging panel to win a Lumix FZ50 digital camera.
All entries will be eligible for the monthly prize in the month entered. Only one entry is allowed per month.
