Getty Images invites Britain’s Youngsters to Communicate Life in Britain Through their Eyes with a Nationwide Photography Competition.
How do you see yourself and where you live?
We bet that you and your friends see yourself and your region of Britain differently to those around you, so, if you are 13 to 18 years old and live in the UK, we are offering you the chance to express your life through My Britain, a photography competition aimed solely at you and your friends!
This is an amazing chance to get some of your favourite images of your region in front of not only your friends and family, but a panel of creative and editorial experts from Getty Images.
The winner of Getty Images’ My Britain competition will receive an exclusive day with a famous Getty Images photographer in the area of their choice and will be able to choose from news, sport and entertainment photographer - or creative photography that you can see in advertising. So, you may find yourself shooting a Premiership football match from the sidelines, or spending time in London covering one of the day’s top news stories… or even hob nobbing with the stars at a photo shoot of one of today’s top celebrities in music or film!
My Britain will run from 4th July until 15th September 2007. The shortlist of regional finalists from the South East, South West, London, West Midlands, East Midlands, East Anglia, North East, Yorkshire, North West, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will be announced in September 2007 followed by the announcement of the overall winner.
