Commonwealth Photographic Awards

The Commonwealth Press Union is now inviting entries for the 2006/7 Photoawards.
This is an open competition that anyone may enter so long as they are resident of a Commonwealth country and are over the age of 18. You may be a professional or amateur photographer or you may simply have taken a striking image that is worthy of the Awards - whoever you are and whatever your photograph, this is a competition worth entering.
The theme is ‘Achievement’ and entrants are invited to interpret it in any way they wish. Achievement for some is very different for others. It may be the baking of a perfect cake or it may be the scaling of a mountain peak. Nevertheless, for the individual, the sense of achievement is the same. These Awards invite entrants to not only enter an image that interprets ‘Achievement’ but also one that invites the viewer to want to know more about that subject and the country.
